From self-doubt to self-actualization.
The short version of a long road, and why I'm building what I'm building.
Inner fire
From my teens into my early twenties I struggled with self-worth and social anxiety. Nights out, gaming, fast food, seeking happiness externally. Out of shape, even after a lifetime of baseball. Under all of it was a deep knowing that I'm capable of more.
The turn
I realized it's not the others, it's me. I turned my life around and became obsessed with personal development. I was adamant about finding my life purpose.
Bilbao
I studied European business in Regensburg and spent two years in Spain. During lockdown in Bilbao, I walked along the river many evenings listening to actualized.org. One night it clicked: becoming who I can be, and helping others do the same, is what excites me the most.
Purpose over profit
Business school celebrated companies for making money. I kept thinking about climate, war, hunger and injustice: problems we could solve, if our collective mindset allowed it. Inner work changed my life, and I believe it can change society.
Bali, twice
I turned down a master's in impact entrepreneurship in Lisbon and went to Bali instead. In a breathwork session I saw it clearly: bring breathwork to Germany, and build places for it.
After struggling as a coach for a year, I saved up, went back and had the same vision a second time. I was reading The Alchemist then, about a shepherd who travels across the world because of a dream he had twice. I got it.
inuma
Having wanted nothing but personal wellbeing and good company along the way, inuma is my life purpose. Fueled by years of inner work and certifications in life coaching, meditation and Conscious Connected Breathwork, I'm building it with my sister. She had walked her own road through depression and anxiety, and we had shared these conversations for years. inuma is our first step.
